Fun Family Weekend

It is a beautiful life!  We had the best weekend!  Thursday night Rob told me he wanted to take the kids to do something fun this weekend, so we decided on Tulsa.  We were going to go to the zoo but opted for swimming at a hotel indoor pool and going to the aquarium.  We've been to that zoo about 10 times and hadn't been to the aquarium in quite a while.  So Friday afternoon we loaded up and headed that way.  We pulled into Firehouse subs in FS for a sandwich before we hit the road and Cash said, "are we here?"  Not quite little man :)

So 2 hours later, we arrived at our very nice, new and clean hotel.  It was a Courtyard by Marriott, and it was fabulous.  We got our suits on and went down for a dip.  The boys just love to swim.  That is probably their favorite activity to do.  Camryn and I even got our suits on and got in for a bit.  Then we headed up for bed.  Everyone slept really well but apparently the last person to stay in that room needed up at 6:30 b/c the stupid alarm went off and we were all wide awake!  Dang it!!

So we got around and headed down to eat breakfast in the lobby.  It was actually pretty delicious.  The kids had cereal and muffins and juice.  I just had a few bites of theirs.  Then at 9 the pool opened back up so the boys were right back in :)

They swam for about an hour, and then we got ready for the aquarium.  It was pretty crowded but we didn't mind.  We all had a blast.  Camryn really likes watching the fish and the boys always have fun when we go there.  But I tell ya, it ain't cheap!  It was like $60 for the 5 of us to get in.  It's about twice as much as getting into the zoo.  I figure it's because they have that AMAZING shark tank in there.  So what do you do?   You pay it and go in :)

 Saturday we came back home and spent the afternoon at the house playing in the trampoline and with the goats.  Then that night, me, Rob and Camryn loaded back up and headed to OKC.  Yep, that's right...turned right around and went back...except an hour further! 

We went to watch the horse races and do some shopping on Sunday.  It was an awesome time!  She was such a good girl...as always!  We had a great time shopping Sunday and at the races.  Got home about 10 last night and were pooped!

Today we just all hung out and played around the house.  I love my life and these kids and my wonderful husband.  It's amazing how fulfilling it is just the 5 of us being together.  No one acted out today or got in any trouble....we just had a joyous time together :)

Tonight we went to my parent's house and the boys swam there.  They broke the pool in for the 2011 season!  We had pizza and hung out for a while before Rob and I had to leave.  That's right...we are headed to CANCUN in the morning so my wonderful parents are babysitting my kids.  I tell ya...I couldn't ask for anything more in life...I mean it is a chore keeping 3 kids under 5 years old but my parents do it.  This is 3 years in a row they've kept the kids while Rob and I have taken a little vacation. It's so nice for us to get to do something by ourselves once a year.  And thankfully my parents will watch the kids for a few days so we get to.

Finally...

I finally feel like I have a minute to sit down and blog, and I cannot even think of anything to say!  Kinda sad, really.  Life is pretty dang busy right now.  Lucas Caden is doing tee ball this year which is quite interesting.  He's hitting the  ball pretty well and runs the bases good, but man in the field, he has no clue that there is a game going on.  He and the other outfielders try to see who can throw the most dirt at the other one I think!

It's also been interesting trying to juggle Cash and Camryn at the games.  They are very good at the games, but man it's tiring.  Plus, sometimes we don't get home til like 9 which is bedtime for them.  So it's been an adventure trying out our first activity with the children. 

This weekend is state tennis tournament for me so I'm really excited....except that I'm going by myself :(  The kids and Rob are gonna stay home b/c it's just too much to ask him to watch them in a hotel room while I play tennis.  So they will stay home and have fun family time and hopefully I will go down and play well, and our team will have a chance to win the tournament! 

It's been so long since I posted anything that I can't remember if I've talked about the goats.  So I will do that now...Rob bought 2 goats for us and they have been a wonderful addition to the family!  Rob and the kids go down every morning and feed them Cap'n Crunch and pet them.  Then after work, the same thing!  They are awesome and the kids LOVE them!  It's a lot of fun! 

I have not been too great about taking pictures lately so there really aren't any new ones to post...sorry!

Lucas Caden graduates from preschool Friday night, so I'm sure I will have some to post Sunday evening when I get back home.  What am I gonna do when that boy starts kindergarten?  Cry, that's what!!

Mother's Day Weekend

What a great weekend we had around here.  Friday evening we took the kiddos and went out to the IC Carnival and had a fabulous time!  They played games, jumped on bounce arounds, and had so much fun!  After the carnival we came home and played for a while before bed time.  Then Saturday morning we got up early and went to a park to play.  I tell ya, we've got some active little children.  They LOVE playing!!  We spent an hour or so out there then headed home, had lunch, and then got a short nap in.  Rob went to run some errands, and when he got back he said don't come outside, I got you something.  So....about 5 minutes later, me and the boys looked out the back window and there Rob was with 2 baby goats!  Aww, they are so cute!  The kids think they are the greatest thing ever!  They are so cute. 

Lucas Caden said we were going to name then Ona and Opal from his story...I have no idea what story that is.  But we decided on Ona for the black and white one and then let Cash name the white one.  So he decided to name it Strawberry!  haha!  They walked them around on their leashes and had the best time with them.  We are pretty excited to have some new pets!  Wait, did I forget to mention that we hit the TRIFECTA at the Kentucky Derby!!  It was so exciting.  Jess and Chip went to Del Mar and bet it and we hit it!  Rob picked the horse and we won!  It was pretty exciting!

Sunday was so fabulous!  Got up early and Rob worked in the yard while me and Camryn played in the house.  We went to Mulberry for lunch time and ate with the fam minus Jess :(. 
We had burgers, potato salad, chips and dip and way too much dessert!  It was ridiculous!  We had a banana split pie, rum cake and a pan of brownies for 6 adults!  No dang wonder it's so hard to lose weight!

Anyway, we hung out and played Bag-O most of the day.  Rob, dad, and Jered also put in the pool liner which means it's getting close to that time!  Then last night we all worked on the flowers for Granny and Grandpa's grave sites.  It was pretty great really.  I asked mom how she knew how to do that, and she said Granny had taught her.  It was cool to get together and do something like that.  Aunt Deb and Uncle Bruce came down to help, too, so it was pretty awesome.  The final product was beautiful!  

It was a completely awesome, fabulous weekend!  Tonight is tee ball!  Woohoo!  Lucas Caden has gotten on base every time in his last 2 games and scored every time!  He is hitting really good and running really hard.  Still no clue what's going on out in the field, but oh well.  I love my big boy so much!!  And Cash and Camryn are learning so much from watching him play.  I have the best life! 

No time to blog

I seem to find that there is NO TIME TO BLOG here lately!  So for tonight I am just posting pics of our life lately.  I will update you all soon on life here in the Waters household. 

Fabulous times!!

Woohoo!!  Jess is home!!  She got here last Wednesday, and we've pretty much gone non stop since then.  It's exciting when she comes home b/c we do lots of things that otherwise we would not be doing.  Family time with everyone is greatly increased, and we all get together and play games and hang out.  We have had a great time!  I guess it was Friday evening when we all went to mom and dad's and played a little game called corn hole...or Bag-O, whichever it is.  It was a blast!  Jess and I were on a killer winning streak until I miscalculated the score and lost it for us!  And I heard about it all weekend long.  But oh well...that's the only time we got to play b/c of this friggin RAIN!   Are you kidding me w/that? Ugh!  The weather has been so great, and then Jess comes home and it rains the whole dang time!  So unfortunately Lucas Caden's 2 baseball games scheduled during Jess's trip were both canceled.  Not cool!

Saturday night we got to have a date night!  Rob and I met Jess and Jenn at La Huerta along with Jered and a group of his friends for a bit.  Then me, Rob, Jess and Jenn headed to 21 West End for a fabulous dinner!  We had SO MUCH FUN!  It was much needed.  I never get to hang with those girls, and Rob got a pretty good dose of what it's like to be around the 3 of us in high gear.  It was a blast! 

I'm gonna do a post about our Easter festivities tonight.  Hope this gets you off to a great start for your week!!

Life :)

I forgot to mention that having 3 acres requires mowing...which I love to do!  I think it is so nice to be outside, smelling the fresh grass and getting in lots of time to think.   I've only mowed a couple  of times so I don't have a true handle on the terrain here...haha!  Seriously though, here is a result of my experience.

I've got a big SUV now, and I knew I could pull that mower out with it.  So I pulled that big ole thing out in the yard and VOILA!!

That's right...got it stuck, too!  Since Rob was out of town, I had to call my dad over to pull both out.  What a fabulous start to my Sunday, right!  Pretty comical I thought.  After that fiasco, I drove up to Rogers to play a tennis match.  I played singles and won and our team won so it was great!  Perhaps the best part of the day was that Jered babysat Camryn for like 5 hours and survived it!  I'm gonna say that's by far the longest amount of time my brother has been around any of my kids by himself!!  What an accomplishment :)

First Spring in the new home!

Yay!!!  It's our first spring to spend in the new home and it is fabulous!!  We are still doing some remodeling and the kitchen will be done in just a few days.  Pardon my grammatical errors on this post, b/c Camryn is sitting in my lap 'helping.'  So life here is going terrific.  All of Rob's hard work digging holes and planting bulbs last fall has finally paid off b/c we have lots of tulips popping up!

There is a whole lot going on around here...Lucas Caden has started tee ball!  It is quite exciting, except I am maybe a bit crazy about it.  It's hard not to be since I've played sports since I was 4.  But I'm really enjoying watching him, and I think he is liking it.  We have all gone to all of the practices which I think is good for Cash b/c he is learning a little bit.  There are some kids on his team that are REALLY good!  They have their first game Monday night so we are excited. 

This past week we have had quite a bit more work done on the house.  It is all coming together so beautifully!  Granite has been installed, backsplash is almost done, and faucets are pretty much all in as well!  I'm gonna post kitchen pics once it is completed.  Hopefully that'll be Sunday!  So, while the kitchen has been under constuction, we have had to find other places to eat (not that I'm a big chef, anyway).  But we did have a fantastic picnic at the Nature Center last Friday evening.  I'm telling ya, there's nothing much to do out there but we all just love it!  We had a picnic, then played around for a bit.  After that it was time to go do what every little tee baller has to do....buy a helmet!  Lucas Caden was so excited to get his helmet.  So we headed ot Academy and got it along with a pair of pants and a red belt!  Yay!!  And Cash got to get a new pair of Spider Man shoes :)

Well, I have a crying baby sitting on my lap b/c she wants mommy's attention so I'm gonna blog more after she goes to bed...including pics of the boys!
