Quick Catch Up

Nothing too much going on around here....we're just waiting on Christmas to come!  Caden is going to turn 6 on Dec. 20, and I honestly cannot believe it!  He was such a tiny little baby when he was born and I cannot believe it's been nearly 6 years since that day when I first laid eyes on my precious angel baby boy.

Last week Rob and I had a little date night at Landry's with mom and dad and our friends Shane and Crystal to watch Heath play music.  It was a lot of fun!  Their portions at Landry's are so big!  Too big!  I mean who could eat all of that food?  Well, I could, but then I'd be sick!

This weekend we didn't do too much.  I'm kinda proud of myself b/c I've been cooking a lot more and we have been eating at home at least 4 or 5 nights a week.  That's HUGE for me!  I used to want to eat out every single meal, but it's so much better eating at home and having major family time!  I love sitting at the table and talking with the kids.  They are so much fun!
Saturday night we did go out to dinner w/Jered and Tasha at El Celaya.  The kids always eat so good there, so if we go out, that's pretty much always where we go.  It's delicious!!

Anyway, we don't have much going on this week...just getting ready for Caden's party and Christmas.  His Christmas break starts next Friday so we will have 2 whole weeks at home!  All of us b/c Rob is off work, too!  Yay!!  That's what I'm talking about!  And Jess will be home for a few days during Christmas, too, so it will be fabulous!!

So that's about all for now.  Hope you have a great day!

Best Thanksgiving Ever!!!!

Wow!!  What a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration we had last week!  I was heading over to Jered's to help mom with the pies and stuff b/c she text and needed milk and wanted me to come help her cook.  Rob had taken Camryn and ran over to Sallisaw, so I had nothing to do really.  I walked in and dad said he was leaving b/c Jered wouldn't do anything and he was worn out with it!  I was on the phone at the time trying to make a hotel reservation so I wasn't paying a lot of attention to anything.  But I rounded the corner of the dining room, walked into the kitchen and got the BEST SURPRISE EVER!!!  Jess was standing there in Jered's kitchen!!!!!!!!  It was so crazy!  I hung up on the woman with Hilton...oops!  And I got a little teary eyed and hugged Jess like I hadn't seen her in 10 years.  It was freakin awesome!!  So she and mom, with their silliness, decided to film the whole thing.  Thanks!  I'm sure I look like a complete goof, but oh well.  I was so excited.  I had literally just told her that I was really missing her and it was all I could do not to cry when I was talking to her.  I'm never like that either, but for some reason it was just getting to me.  So to get there and her be there, it was seriously fantastic.

So we visited for a minute, and then Jered's bedroom door opened and out flew Chip!!!  He said, 'gotta get more coffee.'  It was so funny!  Maybe not to those of you reading it, but it was to me b/c I was in such shock, and since I didn't see him anywhere, I just figured she came alone.  It really was absolutely wonderful to have them home!   It felt so much more right!  I was afraid I was going to go into the house and hug mom and stand there and have a good cry.  But instead I shed a few happy tears and had a wonderful weekend.

So the rest of the weekend, we did a LOT of EATING!  I mean it is sorta gross how much we ate!  And we played Catch Phrase, played with the kiddos and enjoyed some serious family time.  We pretty much spent every second together--the whole family that is from Thursday til Sunday afternoon when they left.  It was a lot of fun and so much more than I was expecting from Thanksgiving this year.

I posted some pictures from my phone that are on the blog post below this so check that out.  I will have Jess e-mail me some, too, so that I can post them b/c I didn't take any of the kids with my phone for some reason.  Anyway, I hope you all had a great Turkey Day and were as blessed with love, laughter, and family as I was.  I love my life, and honestly could not ask for more.

Turkey Day pics

Here are some pictures I took with my phone from our Thanksgiving holiday!!

You probably can't tell but I LOVED Jess being home!!!!! And I loved that Chip was able to come with her!!!

Thanksgiving 2011

I wanted to do a little post about the many many blessings in my life that I'm thankful for.  First of all, I am most thankful for my perfect little family.  My husband Rob--he is the most wonderful husband, partner, and daddy in the world.  He is the best man I've ever known.  I am so lucky to have such a wonderful person to spend my life with.  He is loving, kind, thoughtful, helpful, and I could not ask for more in a husband!  Not to mention he's so damn good looking :)

My sweet Lucas Caden...I cannot believe that little man is almost 6 years old.  I can still remember every single thing about the night I delivered him.  He was almost 6 weeks early, only weighed 5 pounds, 11 ounces, and was the skinniest little thing.  It was the most amazing, indescribable feeling when they put him on my chest.  There are not words to describe the love and emotion I felt when I saw him, held him, talked to him.  It is the most special moment when you meet your baby for the first time :)  He is such a sweet, loving, kind little boy.  I love him so much and cannot believe how big he is!  He is smart, crazy smart, and I am so proud of him!  He is the best biggest big brother in the world!  I say that b/c Cash is the best biggest younger brother in the world :)  I remember holding Caden and telling him that I would be the best mommy any little boy had ever had and that I would always love him and take the best care of him.  Those first moments with him were some of the most special moments of my life.  We are beyond thankful and grateful for our big boy!!

Cash B---what a hoot!  That kid is the funniest person I know.  I swear...he makes me laugh all day long!  Cash's delivery was much easier than Caden's b/c my water broke so I knew I was in labor.  It wasn't nearly as stressful b/c I took a quick shower then we headed into the hospital and a few hours later, there he was.  Poor thing...he had been ready to greet the world for quite some time I guess b/c his little face was so bruised and swollen.  But he was precious and beautiful anyway.  He has grown up so much in the last 6 months.  He will turn 5 in March and start kindergarten next year.  I cannot believe it!  He brings us so much joy and laughter and remembers every single thing!  He brings up stuff that I can't even remember and the memories that he recalls always put a smile on my face.  He is a loving, sweet, smart little thing and I love him so dearly.  He is such a great big and little brother, and we are so thankful to have him!!

Camryn Rose---our sweet princess.  We are so very blessed to have been given this little princess.  To us, she is the most beautiful, sweetest, and funniest little girl that's ever graced this Earth.  She is sometimes a little sassy, and sure is entertaining.  We love that sweet angel so much, and cherish every second with her.  She has brought so much joy to our family and our lives.  Rob lights up every time she says 'love you daddy.'  It's like nothing I've ever seen.  She makes him so happy to be a daddy!  She is talking all the time now and saying everything!  It is so cute and so much fun!  She just turned 2 this week and seems like such a big girl!  We are loving every minute of it.  She is the best little sister!!

I am also extremely thankful for my mom and dad.  They are the absolute best parents I could've asked for.  I swear I couldn't have handpicked better ones.  They are so giving and loving and keep us all so tight as a family and are always there for us for anything and everything.

The friendship I'm most thankful for is of course the one I share with Jess.  She's the best!  And for some reason I'm really missing her right now.  It kinda sucks really, but I am so thankful to have her in my life.  I wouldn't know who to turn to if I didn't have her!  She's my bestest friend and will always be. ..Jenn isn't bad either... I'm also thankful for Jered, and our friendship.  He's always there to give advice and be supportive when I need it.

I am also thankful for my friendships with numerous other people, and the joy and fun in my life because of them.

So I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving and be thankful every day for the many great blessings in your life.  And give thanks to God b/c he is the reason we have these many blessings :)

Camryn Turns 2!!!

Hard to believe my little baby princess is 2 years old. What a fun and exciting 2 years it's been! She brings so much fun and happiness to our world. She is the sweetest little girl and so funny and entertaining.  We had a fun little family birthday party here at our house.  She got books, puzzles, a bouncing toy and a make-up kit that she loves!  She is such a doll and we are so blessed beyond words to have been given the opportunity to raise such a sweet, precious angel....Camryn Rose :)

Playing Catch Up

Sorry for not blogging for the past couple of weeks.  Life gets busy, and I just forget.  And then I can't even remember what we've been doing!  Not much of anything I guess.  Just getting ready for the holidays.  This week Caden is out of school all week, so I'm spending my week at home with all 3 kids!  I haven't done this in a long time!  We are having a lot of fun so far!  Anyway, here are some pics.  The ones of Caden were just before he slid on the tree skirt and knocked the whole tree down!!  That's right....thankfully only about 8 or 10 ornaments broke.  It was a mess!  And now the top of our tree is leaning but oh well...
