Saturday was an early morning for me since my little kindergartener thought 6:40 was a good time to wake up. What a little stinker!! I was so sleepy but he always comes straight to my bed and gets me up with him. Oh well, I enjoy those tender moments with him when it's just the 2 of us, even if it's bright and early! So around 10 my brother called and wanted us to go to Fayetteville with him to shop. So we loaded up the kiddos and did just that. Unfortunately we started the trip off with the boys getting in big trouble! They decided coloring the interior of Rob's car would be a good idea but as you might guess....it was NOT!! So after that bit of chaos, it was a very good trip. All 3 of the kids were EXCELLENT all day! We went to the mall and shopped for about an hour and then headed to Steak and Shake for lunch. I was a bit reluctant of that place but it was actually really good! Saturday evening we just hung around the house and relaxed. It was a really good day!
Sunday we got up and headed to church. It was a great service as usual! We are on a series of sermons about 'stepping up' and how to make changes in our life by doing so. Sunday was on relationships and how to step up in ours and it was very good. After church we headed to the mall for Rob to check Dillard's sales! He got some good bargains. He's a really smart shopper I tell ya! Me....not so much! Oh well, it balances out! After that we headed to Mulberry for the final MAVA showdown of summer 2011. Yes that's right...MAVA--it is its own entity. By the way that stands for Mulberry Aquatic Volleyball Association....it's a fancy way of saying pool volleyball. So me and Rob headed down and Jered/Tasha and Emily/Luke came as well. And we got Camryn down for her nap and mom came out to play, too. So teams were me, Luke, Emily and mom vs. Rob, Jered and Tasha. The first game started out pretty ugly but we made it respectable before getting beat. Second game I think we won by 2 points and 3rd game was for all the MAVA marbles! It was really close and then there was an iffy call at like 18-17 that went our team's way. So anyway, mom ended up serving it out and we won like 21-17. It was SO MUCH FUN!!
After all of the playing we had a cookie cake to celebrate! Then around 5 or so we headed home. I had eaten myself into a sickness! I mean we had Mazzio's pizza for lunch and then topped it off with cookie cake. Gee whiz!! Enjoyed it but man I felt stuffed all night! Then last night we just hung around the house and enjoyed the weather.
Today was a fabulous, wonderful day! We had an awesome day!! The weather was amazing for outside play and we soaked it up!! The kids have a pretty nice playground in the backyard and a trampoline, and we've gotten our money's worth out of both! So we played outside in 3 spurts today...morning, afternoon and evening. So much fun! This morning we played for about an hour then went to the athletic club to work out. They have a really great daycare there that the kids love to play in. It's usually a fight to get them to leave! Then we had lunch and took a short nap. At dinner time we decided to have a picnic b/c the weather was so great! It was so much fun! I LOVE FAMILY TIME! We have so much fun together and I so thoroughly enjoy spending time with these 4 people. After dinner we played football and it was such a blast! It was boys vs. girls! Camryn was hilarous trying to chase after the boys. We really had a great time!
So now it's time to get some sleep before the week starts. We have a couple of things planned this week, but nothing major. Tomorrow night Rob and I are going to Beef O'Brady's to listen to some live music with family and friends. We are looking forward to that! Hope you all have a great week and enjoyed this reading!
